My heart is broken Leisa and I were โ€œhomegirlsโ€ although she was from Blooming Grove and I was from Corsicana. She had the sweetest most loveable spirit. Fly high my beautiful SisterFriend. You are freeโค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ Will miss you but I know youโ€™re at peace ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ

Brick, We are so very sorry for your loss. We weren't fortunate to meet Leisa, but we know you love her deeply. We wish we could have met. We are just a phone call away. Know that we love you and will be with you in spirit during this difficult time. Mark & Dee

Leisa was a powerhouse of a woman and she truly loved my brother Brick. She was a woman of action and knew what it was to work hard. She will be missed by all the House family. God speed Leisa.

Obituary

On Tuesday, August 23, Leisa Renee House, loving wife, sister, daughter, and friend passed away at the age of forty-eight.

She was an avid student and athlete at Blooming Grove High School, Blooming Grove, TX, where she was on the National Honor Society, JV and Varsity Basketball, and graduated Valedictorian in 1991.ย  She then went on to Navarro Junior College, Texas A&M University, and Texas Women’s University, graduating Summa Cum Laude in 1995 with a B.S. in Psychology.ย  In 2012 she completed her masters from the University of Kentucky, also Summa Cum Laude.

Leisa was a positive force.ย  She was supposed to interview for the Regional Director’s position on the day she passed away.ย  Two days prior, she was reviewing her interview note cards.ย  She always focused on the positive in all pursuits.ย  Leisa also had a love of Neil Diamond, true crime TV and was a collector of everything to do with Ernie from Sesame Street.ย  She loved dogs and had a great way with them.ย

Leisa was known for her quick-witted humor, fierce determination, and generous spirit. She is survived by her husband, Brick House, her sister Leslie Ruby, grandmother Marscine Ruby, mother Deborah Carmichael, father Ken Ruby, aunts, Cindy Raffetto, Cretia Drydale, Christine May, and uncle Kevin Ruby.ย  She was lucky to have many cousins and friends in her life.ย

In Lieu of Flowers

Leisa really loved dogs and would be happy to have you donate to your local SPCA in lieu of flowers.ย  To the left were her dogs Maxwell and Jasmine T. House

God Needed Her for a Special Project (she was very good at those)
