Dear Brick, I am so sorry for your loss. I virtually met Leisa in graduate school. She was always so encouraging and we became BFF. She will always be my BFF. We spoke through the years and I will treasure her, our conversations and laughs. She was a very special lady and I will treasure the memories we made. All my love and prayers to you. God Bless you.

Itโ€™s so hard to put into words what I would like to say about Leisa and I know she would tell me just do your best!!! I started this entry several times and I finally decided itโ€™s just so difficult to put into words how much strength and loyalty Leisa had to VR, her staff and co-workers. I admired her faithfulness to her employees and to vocational rehabilitation. When I met Leisa her spirit and leadership was exemplified by her beautiful smile and her ability to put any concerns you have at ease. She was a rock to many individuals and the glue to her staff. I enjoyed working with her as my supervisor and colleague-her wisdom and encouragement is irreplaceable- God gained a beautiful angel- rest easy!!! Leisa you will be missed.

The Fire on My Candle A lifespan-A Candle The fire the life Giving light as the wax burns Lighting up others to exhaust itself The fire on my candle Was lit by Another So light up one before itโ€™s gone Light up two or three Seven more or nine But a million will be better For no one knows when the fire will cease But when the fire becomes stars Even the dark becomes afraid For in darkness, light and stars shine even brighter Oh the fire on my candle Gives light to the whole world! Though the fire may eventually die But the light must live on. #RIPDRDLRHouse! ~Malcolm Ifoezeh

Leisa was one of the greats. In the time we have worked together and getting to know, she was an absolute pleasure . We matched sarcasms and nerdiness. She encouraged me to think outside the box. Always making each other laugh. She was understanding and very passionate about VR. She was an awesome teacher/mentor and has made a mark on me forever . I will miss her very, very much. My deepest condolences to the family. I will pray for your peace and strength in this time. Til next time Leisa, Rest Easy๐Ÿ•Š

Over the past several months I had been working with Leisa on a special project. Her knowledge and expertise, wit and sensitivity were incredible. I enjoyed working with her so much and I was looking forward to many more times with her. What a wonderful person. My sympathies to Leisa's family. She will be greatly missed by so many. And yes, God has a special project for her. If anyone can carry it out she can. With Love, Cindy

I really loved me some Leisa House. I know God is pleased with Her because she was such a Kind Hearted Person. So sorry we wonโ€™t have Her with us any more. To the family: Seek refuge in The Almighty, He will ease the grief on your heart.

Leisa, you were definitely 1 in a million and you will so be missed. Thank you for the many conversations we had and for all you did in you many roles with VR. We were all so blessed to call your friend. You were an inspiration whenever we thought we had a problem. You lived your life with spirit and determination. You fought the good fight and will forever be in our hearts and minds. RIP Leisa, i know you are in the presence of our Lord and savior. Amen

Leisa was a wonderful person. She had a great sense of humor and was knowledgeable and kind to others. She will never be forgotten. She made a difference in the world. She fought a difficult battle with quiet strength and diligence. Leisa will live forever in the hearts and lives of people who were fortunate enough to spend time with her. She will also live in the lives of many people who never met her. She had many gifts. She shared then with everyone. She was always active and a wonderful mom to fur babies. She inspired me to focus on the positive. She will be missed. My prayer for anyone who reads this, is that they find peace. There are never enough words....There are not any "right" words. What I have learned about grief is that it evolves. Right now, all anyone can do, is BREATHE. Think of her with a smile, because she mattered and she was great at making people smile.
