Today my heart was broken. I just found out about Leisas passing. I remember the first day I met her at Texas Rehab where we worked. She was so beautiful and so sweet. She transferred to other offices and we saw each other at meetings and kept in touch by work emails. After I retired we just sent Christmas cards each year and her cards were so super of her and Brick. Leisa was so loved. She was kind and smart. My prayers go out to her love of her life Brick and the rest of her family that I know she truly loved. I will see Leisa someday and tell her how much she is missed. May God be with her family and friends. Fly high Leisa.

Ms. Leisa, You will be sadly missed but yet you are now free! You were such a force with our agency and brought sunshine and positive vibes to our region. You were always kind, supportive and resourceful. Your legacy will live on in each of us through the work we do to serve our customers. My thoughts and prayers go out to Brick and your family.

There is something that I've realized about life and the people you meet along the way. Meeting Leisa absolutely changed my life. After the layoff from Merrill, I went about five months with barely a nibble. One phone interview. No job offers...until Leisa offered/suggested I come work at Fidelity, where she landed. I did get the job, but started right after she left for her dream job. Although we did not get to work together again, that one act of kindness from her and my willingness to accept it lead to making new, dear friends, which lead to meeting other people and having experiences I never would have had if not for Leisa. All of this to say that what some may consider small things can lead to altering paths and improving lives. Thank you, Leisa! God bless you, Brick, Leslie, and the rest of the family!

We were lucky enough to meet Leisa through Clint and shared some time when they were on Oahu years ago. She was a true fighter and this world lost a great one. Sheโ€™s in our thoughts๐Ÿ’”

Leisa was my friend. She was a mentor to everyone. She was the one everyone looked up to. She was a supportive boss who was always fair. She encouraged you to be the best you could be. When Lisa talked to you, you had her full attention. always. I started work in 2012 when it was called Department of Rehab Services. I loved my job because we were helping people and you could see your results. when it was rolled into TWC, it started changing. I probably stayed as long as I did because of Leisa. She was like a beacon of light and hope for me. I admired her, I respected her, and I loved that I got to be her friend. Leisa had a beautiful soul. She was a fighter to the end. I hope we get to meet again someday. Love you,Leis...

I first met Leisa when she was a new Counselor in the Fort Worth North Office of DARS. Leisa was a great person to work with and was always willing to help. If I ever reached out to her with questions, for information, or assistance on how to do some something I was not familiar with she was always right there. If you share confidences with Leisa she kept them and was non-judgmental when providing advise. I will miss her big heart and kindness. You got your Wings!

My sympathies to all the family. Marscine let me know of Leisa's passing. I am hopeful that the services and the condolences offered bring some solace in a terribly sad time.
